Common questions

How do I invite someone to my family? Open your family space, tap Invite, and share the link by WhatsApp, message or email. The person you invite joins only your family space and sees only what that family shares.

Who can see my photographs and stories? Only the members of the family spaces you have shared them into. Heritage Hub has no public feed, no strangers and no advertising. Privacy settings are under Settings, then Privacy.

How do I report something inappropriate? Every piece of content and every member profile has a report option. Reports about the safety of a child go to the front of the queue and are reviewed within 24 hours. You can also write directly to childsafety@heritagehub.app.

How do I block someone? Open your one-to-one chat with them, tap ⋮ and choose Block. Neither of you can send messages in that chat until you unblock them (Messages → Preferences → Blocked people). Blocking does not remove anyone from the family tree or from family group chats. To report someone, use ⋮ → Report in the chat, or long-press one of their messages and choose Report.

How do I get my family tree out of Heritage Hub? Settings, then Your data, then Export. Your family history is yours and we will never hold it hostage.

How do I delete my account? Settings, then Account, then Delete account. Or start the process at heritagehub.app/delete-account.
